Tape Resist Aluminum Etching Workshop with Laura Sbrizzi
In this experimental etching workshop, participants will use adhesives such as packing tape and mactac on aluminum plates to create a resist. We will experiment with applying tape in a variety of ways--from cutting out shapes, to creating bubbles and imperfections where trapped acid can work its magic! In doing so, we will lean into the indeterminacy of etching, and allow unique imagery and patterns to emerge.
