Pepa Chan is an interdisciplinary artist and musician originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, now based in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Her art practice includes and often combines site-specific installation, sculpture, printmaking, illustration, performance and video to generate difficult questions about society, identity, gender and violence.
Pepa has exhibited nationally and internationally at venues including The Rooms Provincial Art Gallery, Hold Fast Contemporary Art Festival, the Rogue Gallery, and Berlin’s Porn Film Festival. She has independently curated and exhibited work at unconventional sites and public spaces, and has a special interest in collaborative practices and socially engaged art.
