Acrylic Medium Monoprints with VAP Joy Wong

Join visiting artist Joy Wong as she leads a two day workshop demonstrating how to create monoprints using liquid acrylic pouring medium.
This is particularly useful for those wishing to work with painting and printmaking methods, those without access to a press or print shop, or those who wish to further their material investigations.
When: Tuesday August 13th & Wednesday August 14th 6:30-9:30 PM
Where: St. Michael’s Printshop – 72 Harbour Drive 2nd Floor
Cost: $30 + tax for members, $60 + tax for non-members

Joy Wong is a interdisciplinary artist based in Toronto, who works in painting, print media, poetry, and sculpture. She is a current MFA candidate at Western University, London, Ontario. Her practice centres on the intersections of disgust and beauty, decay and decadence, and connects material investigations with the shifting physicality of the body. She obtained her BFA from York University with a double major in Visual Arts and Creative Writing. Wong was a finalist for the 2018 RBC Canadian Painting Competition
