We are excited to welcome Katie Marie Bruce as our June 2019 visiting artist at St.Michaels’s Printshop! She will be hosting a three evening workshop from Monday June 11th – June 25th. This should be a great and affordable introductory workshop for drypoint printmaking!
Objective: Creating layered/double-sided imagery
Timeline: Three Tuesday evenings, 6:30 – 8:30 pm on June 11, 18, and 25.
Cost: $57.50 for members & $92 for non-members (tax included)
MAX 7 participants – secure your spot by sending and interact transfer to email@example.com with the required amount.
Key Techniques: Dry-point, multi-plate registration, coloured ink, varied edition, chine colle.
Materials provided: gampi (fine Japanese paper); BFK Rives as baking paper; plexiglass plate; ink; drypoint tools; glue; filament tape.
Please bring an image which has at least two components: either text and image, or two colours. It is helpful to know the basic principles of printmaking, though not essential, which you can tell by the length of this document. Things to consider: If you are working with text, remember that the other image will be reversed as it would in relief, etching or lithography.
